Who needs artwork when you have views like this?  This Florida Penthouse apartment ceiling is painted in the perfect Benjamin Moore color, Quiet Moments.  It blends seamlessly with the sky and ocean and its ever changing weather.

The inspiration of the room was a Brinkerhoff peacock.  This beautiful bird is encrusted with 18,820 Swarovski crystals, and a natural feather tail.  While the living room furniture is neutral the accessories and pillows add vibrant color.

The dining room chair seats are upholstered in a turquoise mohair.  Head chair backs are covered with an embroidered peacock fabric, and on the side chairs a coordinating colorful stripe. Bringing some natural elements to the room I designed the custom buffet and TV wall unit in Mahogany and burled wood veneers.

Above the buffet is an original oil painting of a white peacock.  A pair of nautilus shell candle holders flank the antique silver tray that is overflowing with natural sea treasures that the owner found on her trips to the Bahamas.  Shopping in a small boutique I spotted seashells that were embellished with crystals, the perfect thing to bring in a little sparkle to the collection.
